King’s Lodge provides supported living for people with learning disabilities and other associated needs. Supported living is for adults with a learning disability who would like to live independently in their own home (with support). Supported Living gives adults with disabilities the level of independence, choice and control that most people want in their lives. We work in conjunction with other professionals to maintain and improve the physical and psychological wellbeing of the people who use our service.

At King’s Lodge, we are incredibly proud of our Supported Living team, who work hard to help individuals live life the way they chose.

Our service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide domiciliary care in the community. Located in the London Borough of Redbridge, we aim to assist in promoting independence and social inclusion for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

The support at King’s Lodge is provided by a CQC Registered Manager and her team. Our Registered Manager is a dual practitioner with Social Work and Learning Disability qualifications backed up with care management experience in local authority settings. Our Registered Manager is supported by her team of Support Workers who have extensive experience of providing person centred support for people with a range of needs. Our staff team are well qualified for their role having achieved the QCF5 in health and social care. The knowledge-base of our staff team is maintained via regular training which includes: safeguarding, medication management, infection prevention, health and safety, learning disability, mental health and many more. We back this up with day to day and formal supervision systems and competence assessments.

The housing element is provided by a separate housing management organisation known as ‘Luxe Property & Financial services’ and service users who use our supported living service will enter into a tenancy agreement with ‘Luxe Property & Financial services’. We have in place for all our clients in our Supported Living an easy read tenancy agreement. Prospective clients can also request to see a copy for the purposes of Supported Living arrangement. The tenancy agreement has been designed in accordance with The Real Tenancy Test – tenancy rights in supported living, published by the NDTI (National Development Team for Inclusion).
